The goal of our local community outreach efforts is to serve those in need by sharing God's love in action. We believe that as Christians we should follow Jesus' example and live a life of loving service. We believe that the Body of Christ is strengthened by caring for people in need and through fellowship with one another.

The Yonkers Seventh-day Adventist Church operates the
Good Neighbor Food Pantry as an outreach service to the community, that seeks to minister to practical needs, as well as spiritual. The Pantry provides free distribution of food and clothes to those in need.

The Annual Report for the progress of the Food Pantry is as follows: A total of 1796 households were served, numbering 4624 Children, 3724 Adults, 211 Seniors. 

Clients of the Pantry receive items for several meals, including potatoes, rice or beans, vegetables, fruit, and other items. We are open for distribution on Wednesdays, 3:00-6:00 pm. For further information, please contact us at (914) 963-6776.

Our local church also participates in a worldwide outreach ministry.  The Adventist Development and Relief Agency, International (ADRA) is an independent humanitarian agency established by the Seventh-day Adventist Church with the purpose of individual and community development and disaster relief around the world.  ADRA provides needed assistance to people in more than 120 countries without regard to age, ethnicity, politics or religion.  For more information about ADRA and its mission, please click here
